FIGHTSTAR Announce Biggest Headline Show to Date

Alternative metal band Fightstar announced their biggest headline gig to date and it’s their first gig in over 8 years!

Fightstar

The guys smashed into the early 00’s alt-rock scene with their top 10 hit “Paint Your Target”, dropped two Top 20 albums (Be Human and Behind the Devil’s Back) and then had two Kerrang! Award nominations (Best British Band and Best British Newcomer) thrown at them. Fightstar continued to dominate the alternative rock/metal scene but went quiet in 2015.

Since then fans have been crying out for their return and now those calls have been answered with their biggest ever headline gig a the incredible OVO Arena Wembley. Fightstar will be tearing up Wembley on 22nd March 2024.

Fightstar started back in 2003 and still consists of the original line up – Charlie Simpson (vocalist/guitarist), Alex Westaway (guitar), Dan Haigh (bass) and Omar Abidi. The guys came together as they wanted to explore their shared passion for Deftones, Taking Back Sunday, Silverchair and Mono, just to name a few. When the band went quiet in 2015, Charlie went back to filling arenas with Busted, kept up his successful solo career and won The Masked Singer. Alex and Dan released two albums with their band Gunship while Omar established himself as a very successful sound engineer at a whole host of major events, he also featured in Guy Ritchie’s version of Aladdin and drummed in a viral Argos advert. Altogether, the guys have kept themselves very busy over the past eight years.

The gig at OVO Arena Wembley is a milestone stone performance for the band, “Next year marks 20 years since Fightstar played our first show in a tiny nightclub in Northampton, mainly in front of friends and family,” Charlie explains, “To be sat here today about to play our biggest ever headline show at London’s legendary Wembley Arena is something that is hard for us to comprehend. We are so thankful to all our fans who have been so loyal to us and we can’t wait to celebrate this milestone with them. This will be a very special night for us all.”

Fightstar will be joined by Twin Atlantic and Loathe with tickets going on sale from 9am GMT on Friday 10th November, just hit the link to get in the queue : https://biglink.to/FightstarTickets2024
