Swedish powerhouse vocalist Anette Olzon has announced her highly anticipated third solo album Rapture, with the release of a lyric music video for the single “Heed the Call“.
From 2007 to 2012, Anette was recognised all over the world as the lead vocalist for Finnish Power Metal band, Nightwish. Her incredible voice has led her to work with many bands and artists throughout her career including Swedish classic rock band Alyson Avenue and in 2017, she became known as the other half of Finnish heavy metal band The Dark Element alongside Jani Liimatainen.
But in 2012, Anette made a bold move in her musical journey to go it alone and has embarked on a hugely successful solo career.

Following on from her critically acclaimed second album Strong, Olzon has teamed up with guitarist extraordinaire and producer, Magnus Karlsson, to craft an album that will push the boundaries of heavy symphonic metal and bring excitement to the genre. Not only that, the album becomes a family affair with Olzon’s husband, bassist and vocalist Johan Husgafvel (of the band Pain), adding another layer to this album with growls running throughout the album. Combining Karlsson’s thrilling guitar riffs, Anette’s high flying vocals and Johan’s dirty growls, the album is sure to cover all tastes and senses in the heavy metal genre.
According to the label, Rapture navigates through many different styles of the heavy metal genre, including touching into the melo-death side but at its core is the sheer brilliance of Anette and her incredible team.
