Continuing with my new series “Rat on the Road”, I had a chance to chat with Wayne from melodic hard rock band Scarlet Rebels about their upcoming new release, “Where the Colours Meet” (check out their latest single, “Grace”) and what they have planned for the future. This is an exciting opportunity to delve into the band’s creative process and get a glimpse of what’s to come.
Who are They?

Scarlet Rebels are a four piece band from Wales and consist of Wayne (lead vocals), Gary (drums and vocals), Carl (bass and vocals) and Chris (lead guitar). The band have already amassed a large following on socials and smashed the UK album charts with their last album “See Through Blue”, which got to number 7. The guys are hoping to achieve such dizzying heights once again with their new sound.
In this interview, Wayne talks about the new concept of collecting the vinyls of the new record. I sadly missed their set due to being occupied with another band but from what I could hear from the Call of the Wild press room and seeing the photographs later on, the band electrified the stage and engaged the audience with their melodic choruses and catchy verses.

The Welsh rockers are hoping to storm the UK album charts once again with their massive new album dropping 16th August 2024. According to the pre-order release, the album is: “an album full of fluid guitar lines, tasteful leads, and irresistible choruses but with a contemporary full-on sound – imagine a modern-day U2 meets Bruce Springsteen!” This album allows the band to embrace change and bring the 80s back to life with larger than life drums and a sprinkling of the keys to push this anthem rock sound.
You can keep up to date with Scarlet Rebels via their socials and you can pre-order the album via Earache Records which is dropping 16th August 2024. If the band are a bit of what you fancy, then why not catch them on tour in support of their new album later in the year, check out the dates below:

I hope this new series is just the beginning of a fruitful beginning into venturing out to live music events. I am not done with “In the Sewers” but summer time is upon us and I have a few more interviews coming your way!
New episodes will be coming out daily so stay tuned and don’t forget to subscribe!
