Industrial metal giants Rammstein have announced their European Tour for 2024 and when the tickets are going on sale, I’m sure they’ll sell quicker than hot cakes!
Rammstein have only just finished their hugely successful tour in support of their last album two albums, “Untitled” (2019) and “Zeit” (2022). I was fortunate enough to see them in 2019 and in 2022 and both times it was mind blowing! A total of 105 shows across four years (2 were lost due to Covid-19 restrictions) and it gained them a total of $64,000,000 by the end of the pre-sale tickets in 2018.

Those numbers are staggering for a band that doesn’t sing in English at all, except for a few lines here and there. Their popularity has stunned the world and are just as infamous for their stage shows which have always been incredible. Flames, booming sound, giant baby carriages that burst into flames, a giant dick that shoots out foam and the softer rendition of Engel has been a fan favourite too. Check out the time lapse video of their stage set up over on YouTube!
This last leg of the tour was tinged with a bit of controversy surrounding the singer Till Lindemann in June 2023. Women had come forward alleging sexual misconduct by the singer at after parties. The women claimed that they were drugged and recruited to engage in sexual activity. This sparked outrage amongst the music community with a petition to abandon the band’s July tour dates reaching 75,000 signatures. The shows went ahead as planned. As of August 2023, the police in Germany dropped the investigation. Click the link to read more. Lindemann is embarking on his solo European tour kicking off 8th November and ending 20th December, there is only one date in London on 12th December.
Today the band announced via social media, the tickets for 2024 European Tour will be released soon and fans are beyond excited! One fan on Instagram commented “Wooohooo! Bye bye money!” .The video shows numerous props and instruments from the bands attire entering a scanner, just like at an airport with the big flame thrower causing a bit of panic. 30 seconds of pure Rammstein fun! Two batches of tickets will go on sale next week, Li-Fad presale tickets (fan club) go on sale on 16th October with general pre-sale made available from the 18th October!
Rammstein started out in 1994 and has continued to have the same lineup ever since. After winning a local competition in 1995, the band went on to create demos, subsequently signed with Motor music and released their debut album “Herzeleid”. The album was received poorly but thanks to their live performances on the club circuit they gained a following and grew in popularity for the album to reach #6 in the Germany charts. Following from that they released the hugely successful “Sehnsucht” (1995), it spawned the singles “Engel” and “Du Hast” and a four year long tour. From this they signed with big time label Universal and as they say the rest is history.
